The biggest update for Kids Beads so far is now available for download on Apple App Store. This version includes four boys and four new girls. For all parents that complains about how their kids always plays Kids Beads, we have now added volume sliders for the music and sound effects. Minor bugs were fixed and it’s now easy to drag a bead across the middle of the screen.
We’re working hard on the next update of Kids Beads for iPhone. I got the last graphics from Eira yesterday and will implement it this weekend. Four boys and four more girls will be added together with adjustable settings for the volume of sounds and music. A free “lite” version of Kids Beads will also be added to App Store as we upload the updated version.
We have been reviewed by the great blog The iPhone Mom.
She writes:
“Oh my goodness! Miss J., my 2 1/2 year old, is obsessed with Kids Beads. I have been hearing the music for this app ALL the time since it went on my iPhone.”
“… overall this is a wonderful app. Plus, whenever I hear the music start up I know Miss J. will be occupied for awhile creating beautiful necklaces!”
Pappas Appar (Daddy’s apps) is one of the biggest blogs for kids apps in Sweden. He recently did a review of Kids Beads for iPhone and also gave away free promo codes on his Facebook page yesterday. Kids Beads currently holds the top 25 most downloaded list on App Store for kids and family games in Sweden.
Kids Beads is now a part of “Moms with Apps” – an app catalog of great children’s and family-friendly apps. Moms With Apps is a collaborative group of family-friendly developers seeking to promote quality apps for kids and families.
The app “Moms with apps” is available for free on App Store.
A new version of Dots & Stars, my free game for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad is now available for download on App Store. The news in V1.3 includes more stars on the bonus levels, smoother looking energy meter and a removal of Easy and Hard modes (everybody plays the normal mode).
The creative beading app for preschool kids, Kids Beads, has now been updated with eight more colorful beads. Available for download on App Store now. Now go get it for your kids! :) Kids Beads is the first cooperative app project by me and my sister Eira Fogelberg.
Kids Beads for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch is one of the “apps of the week” on the family oriented site iHeartThisApp. Thank you everybody that made this possible by voting for us.
Winter has come and for me this brings a week and a half of sweet vacation (Thank you Swedish working laws). Thus more time to do some fun stuff.
Music wise, I will now switch from Cakewalk Sonar to the much more intuitive Ableton Live. Such a great DAW to use. I have a feeling it will simplify my struggles to make music exponentially.
After the initial success of Kids Beads for iPhone, I will now work on the first update. I aim to have it ready for upload to App Store when they resume business on December 30th. Right now all updates are frozen due to the Christmas Holiday at Apple.
And I’m working on a just for fun music app for iPhone. More info about that will be revealed later.
