A new beginning

Yet another year is coming to an end and what a better way to celebrate that than building a brand new shiny temple for oneself.

Yes! Fogelberg.com is b(j)orn again. I think this is the 6th major version of my site I’ve done since its conception in 1996. Let me tell you, it was well overdue. For the last 2-3 years the site had become like the old tale of the shoemaker’s children who goes barefoot. My website was a pretty bad representation of somebody who has been working as a professional UX Designer for over 20 years. So I tore it all down and rebuilt it from scratch.

My main goal when I started about a month ago was that it had to have a unique look, kind of glitch meets Outrun. Big bold and colorful. Also it had to be fully responsive and looking good no matter if you are using the smallest mobile phone up to a 4K modern monitor. Some other goals was I would have to find ways to fit all my stuff in there without it getting too cluttered.

For anyone interested in the techy stuff, fogelberg.com is built in WordPress using Avada, with a lot of custom made CSS.. and I mean A LOT.

Anyway, I hope you like my new site and come back once in a while. Oh and of course I’m also on Facebook and all the other normal places, except the puss-hole called Twitter.

My Top 100 tunes in 2018 according to Spotify

Spotify’s automatic end of the year list with my top 100 played tunes in 2018 is a selection of mostly newly released electronic dance music.

There is a lot of great new tunes in here. Innovative chilled beats but also some techno bangers and pure ambient. Check it out if you like the style of my own music and perhaps are interested in what kind of music I listen to for inspiration.

In-game photography: Assassins Creed Origins for PC

I put in around 100 hours playing Assassins Creed Origins and its two DLCs.

It’s such a beautiful, well written game and the world building is top notch. It almost feels like you are there in ancient Egypt, with all the people going about their daily business.

Another thing I really liked was the ability to take screen-shots or in-game photography as some call it. Here are some of the better ones. You can download them and use as background for your desktop if you like.

My album Focus is on Choon – Crypto and tunes

I just uploaded my album Focus to Choon. What is Choon? In their own words: “Choon is a music streaming service and digital payments ecosystem—designed to solve the music industry’s most fundamental problems. Choon allows artists to earn cryptocurrency for every stream of their tracks.”

My studio right now (2018)

XAKK Studio 2018

Lots of things have happened in my studio the last couple of years. I built a TTSH (Arp 2600 clone) and I also got, perhaps a bit carried away with the whole modular thing. :) Anyways, this is what it looks like now. Many of the hardware you see here was used to make my latest album Focus.

There is a more or less complete list of all the stuff on my Studio page.

My Play It Loud Gameboy Clear with 7 mods

I’m having another round of Game Boy mania at the moment.

Been refurbishing and modding the old original and Play-it-loud models. This one turned out pretty nice don’t you think? It’s specifically modded to be used for making music/noises with programs like LSDJ and Nanoloop.
